You’re probably reading this because you’re a 90’s kid, and reading the title Ghost Fighter has suddenly taken you on a trip down the memory lane.
Well, buckle up, because Ghost Fighter is set to come to Netflix this June!
Netflix is yet to announce details on the show’s launch, but on the streaming giant’s Coming Soon page appears Ghost Fighter under its original Japanese title Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files, along with the date June 26.
Ghost Fighter was a popular adaptation of the manga of the same name, and it follows the story of Yusuke Urameshi, a teenager who dies while saving a child’s life. The heroic act has granted him a second life in the Underworld, where he gets appointed as a detective.
A tagalog-dubbed version of the iconic show appeared on Philippine TV in the 90’s, where its main characters’ names were changed into Eugene, Alfred, Dennis, and Vincent to cater to its Filipino audience.
