If you could go back in time just to see the iconic Salazars’ confrontation scene for the first time again, would you? Or would you?
It was announced last February 27, 2020 that a prequel to Four Sisters And A Wedding is set to hit the cinemas, finally putting an end to die-hard fans’ incessant demand for more. Bringing us back to Salazar siblings’ teenage years, the prequel in the works will be called Four Sisters Before The Wedding.
The New Salazar Siblings
Originally played by Bea Alonzo, acting as young Bobbie is Alexa Ilacad, while playing the role of Teddie, previously Toni Gonzaga’s, is Charlie Dizon. Cast as Alex and Gabbie– initially played by Angel Locsin and Shaina Magdayao– are Gillian Valencio and Belle Mariano, respectively.
What do we feel?
As fans who still tear up at our nth time watching Bobbie recall her successful but oh-so-lonely life in Manhattan, or every time mama’s favorite, Teddie pleads for her mom’s forgiveness, we can only hope the prequel gives the original film the justice it rightly deserves.
We will surely miss the Salazars’ witty comebacks against the Bayags. It’s a shame we will no longer feel the satisfaction of watching Bea Alonzo grab Mocha Uson by the hair and drag her out into the streets. But we are bubbling over with curiosity and excitement to witness Bobbie’s assertiveness, Teddie’s sense of humor, Alex’s adventurous soul, and Gabbie’s maternal instinct flashing on the big screen again.
Are you also a cult fan of Four Sisters And A Wedding? What are you most looking forward to seeing on the upcoming prequel?
