FEATURES: Why you should watch Ulan

Nadine Lustre and Carlo Aquino paired up for the Ulan movie!

Ulan movie is an upcoming film from Viva Entertainment that stars Nadine Lustre and Carlo Aquino, and just from the trailer, we can already see their chemistry!

Nadine and Carlo are an unlikely pair for casting, considering that ‘Ulan’ will be Lustre’s first big film without his on-screen and real-life partner,  James Reid, but you can’t tell us these two don’t look good together! However, there might be more to expect from this movie than just face value.

Here’s why you should watch Ulan!

Two months ago, Viva Entertainment released the first trailer for ‘Ulan’. It presented no synopsis and remained secretive, but you can already tell it’s a movie to look out for!  It showed the main character, Maya, her leading men, and a “tikbalang”.

Viva Entertainment released Ulan’s full trailer three weeks ago, and things couldn’t be more interesting! The visuals, along with Rice Lucido‘s music, had an eery vibe to it. Not to mention the appearance of several creatures from Filipino folklore… and what looked like large, creepy eggs! This trailer gives us a wider scope of what the movie is all about, and something tells us it’s going to include a great deal of love, pain, and their connection to the rain (bars!).

Ever since the release of the trailer, fans could not be more excited to see ‘Ulan’ on the big screen. Some even hope the movie gets international exposure and cited Lustre’s recent achievements as an artist.

If that wasn’t enough, ‘Ulan’ also stars Marco Gumabao and AJ Mulach. Plus, the director shared that the script for the film has been written since 2005 and has gone through numerous revisions since then. That makes this film 14 years in the making!!! Now, that’s a movie we can say they put a thought in.

‘Ulan’ will be released on March 13. That’s a weekday, but we think we can all agree that anything with Nadine Lustre, folklore creatures, and large, creepy eggs would be worth spending the time.
