Maledicto is FOX’s first-ever Filipino film, but there’s more to it than that!

Home to countless blockbuster hits, FOX has made a name in the international film industry. Just recently, it was announced that FOX is working on a local film for the first time. And they gave us Maledicto!

With scenes of possession and exorcism, this trailer is enough to not let you sleep tonight.

Yes, FOX’s first Pinoy movies is a horror thriller! What a bold choice! At first, I was quite apprehensive about this, because there are many great horror movies in the Philippines, but few are realistic enough when it comes to prosthetics and other special effects to really get you scared. But thinking about it, I doubt that FOX would agree to do the film if the manuscript wouldn’t live up to or surpass their standards. Also, just watching the trailer, we can already notice that this is international quality film-making. I couldn’t finish watching the trailer at first (I had to be with some friends) because it got me scared just a bit. Folks, I think it may be too early to speak, but this can possibly be the best horror movie so far in the year!

Miles Ocampo as Agnes

Miles Ocampo will play Agnes in the film ‘Maledicto’. Agnes is the perfect Catholic school girl that seemed to be perfect, but then she is subjected to the possession of a demon and reaches out to the church for help. The amount of goosebumps you’ll get watching this character introduction is insane. Watch it ’till the end!

It can be expected that we’ll see Miles do a great job portraying this role. But this casting is extraordinary as it is. It’s Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Tom Rodriguez, Inah De Belen, Martin Escuderia, Eric Quizon, and Tonton Gutierrez! Menggie Cobarrubias, too, and Nonie Buencamino! Are you kidding me? There’s no way I’d miss this film!

Great production…great casting… and I’m sure that trailer told us one clear message: Go. Watch. The film! And we couldn’t wait ’till its out!

‘Maledicto’ will hit the big screens on May 1 (it’s a holiday)!

We already have our popcorns ready for Maledicto! Are you excited to see the film too? Share us your thoughts on the comments down below. Or hit us up on our Facebook or Twitter @UDoUPh.
