How was Elsa born with magical powers? Looks like we’re about to find out more as ‘Frozen 2′ releases a brand new trailer!

Six years. That’s how long we had to wait for the second installment for the movie that all of us, young and old, loved — ’Frozen’. While the first movie seemed to have ended on a good note, there were still a lot of holes to fill, ones that Disney knew we all noticed.

Where are Kristoff’s parents (the real ones, not the trolls)? Why was Anna not allowed to be outside when it’s only Elsa who was isolated? As she sang in ‘For the First Time in Forever’, the coronation day was her first day outside.

Moreover, where did Elsa’s power come from? Because hey, people aren’t just born with the capability to create an ice palace and the catchiest song of 2013!

It seems like we’re going to get our answers from the upcoming movie, ‘Frozen 2’! Check out this amazing trailer!

In the trailer above that was released a few months ago, we see that Elsa is going to confront something that threatens her entire kingdom. Ironically, it is also supposedly connected to her past. The phrase that caught our attention was, “we have always feared Elsa’s powers were too much for this world. Now, we must hope they are enough.”

But that’s not all! Another brand new trailer released yesterday, September 23, gave more hints about the the nature of Elsa’s powers. Moreover, we see sneak peaks on the dangers that the characters may soon face.

Watch the second official trailer here.

Finding the truth

In Frozen, Elsa was isolated and she was always in constant fear in relation to her powers. But we saw eventually that Elsa got rid of that fear and learned to fuel her ice powers with love.

In this second movie, we’re guessing Elsa would have to wrestle with something else that would need a lot of her powers this time. The danger? Going overboard and exerting too much of that power. Also, the safety of her sister is always a priority to ensure. We’re also guessing that a lot would be at stake here in the sisters’ quest of finding the truth.

Still no beau?

No, it does not seem that a love interest would be introduced to Queen Elsa. Being the queen that smashed the long tradition of Disney princesses running away with men they just met, Elsa proves she doesn’t need a man to complete her journey.

Besides, she would be joined by characters we missed from the first movie! Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven would be there, too! But mostly, Elsa would be facing whatever danger there is with her sister, Anna. At the end of the first trailer, we have seen Anna pledge to let nothing bad happen to her sister.

The entirety of the ‘Frozen 2’ trailer is about Elsa dealing with her past and finding the truth. Elsa and Anna are shown travelling to “the North”, probably with the goal to find the enchanted forest. But whoa! Can we talk about the wonderful animation here?

The settings have definitely upgraded to just Arendelle and a snowy mountain to locations reminiscent of the ones in “Brave”. The animation for the ocean and the landscapes seem pretty realistic, too. Elsa’s facial expressions couldn’t get closer to being real!

Moreover, we see more action-packed scenes that show Elsa’s capabilities. Will she reach her limit?

Frozen 2 is going to be featuring some giants, too! Will these stone-like giants pose as a challenge to Elsa? We’ll never know until we watch, but it sure is exciting!

Do you know how there’s a thing about movies where the first one is absolutely a hit and then the next installments just flop? Well, we don’t expect that to happen here. There are the same characters, yes, but this is a whole new adventure. Also, we have some questions from the first film that can be answered in ‘Frozen 2’.

As we see the first scene in the 2nd official trailer, Anna and Elsa’s parents were telling a story about an enchanted forest in the ‘North’ too. We may learn more about the origins of Elsa’s powers here. Moreover, we expect to see more about the bond of Anna and Elsa as they face different troubles in their lives.

Frozen 2 will be showing on November 22 this year, and we certainly couldn’t wait! How did you feel about the new official trailer for Frozen 2? Share us your thoughts on the comments down below! Or hit us up on our Facebook or Twitter @UDoUPh.
