Witness a classic comeback as the legendary pop group Spice Girls gets their own animated film!

In case you missed it, our favorite classic girl group Spice Girl will be working for an animated film. According to reports, they’ve been working with Paramount Animation in producing the said animated film.

Spice Girls aren’t just your typical pop girl group. True enough, they’ve been superstars before. But they’re seasoned performers and artists who broke into the music scene. While hip-hop, R&B, and alternative rock dominated the global music charts, Spice Girls brought something new in the table. Comprised of Melanie Brown (“Scary Spice”), Melanie Chisholm (“Sporty Spice”), Emma Bunton (“Baby Spice”), Geri Halliwell (“Ginger Spice”), and Victoria Beckham (“Posh Spice”), they became legendary music icons. Their appearance in the music scene help mold early 2000 pop teen acts such as Britney Spears and Cristina Aguilera.

Just recently, the girls kicked off their tour for their highly anticipated reunion. However, Beckham didn’t turn up to participate in the reunion tour. According to reports, Paramount Animation confirmed the project. Apparently, all the five girls are on board for the animated film. It will include some of their iconic 90’s songs and their new songs as well. Paramount Animation president Mireille Soria admitted that they’ve been developing the project for some time now.

This untitled movie will mark Spice Girls’ first big screen venture ever since Spice World (1998). As ambitious as the film-yet-to-be sounds, Paramount Animation intends to surpass Spice World. Details are yet to be released. Nevertheless, Paramount Animation guarantees it will be frivolous and fun. Not to mention, a cult classic in waiting.
