Whether you’re a JaDine fan or not, we took interest in this on-screen (and previously off-screen) couple more than we’d like to admit.

And now they’re back on TV again, this time to fly us away from our lockdown anxieties.

On The Wings of Love

On The Wings of Love, ABS-CBN

Since the lockdown began, ABS-CBN has been replaying throwback shows we’ve grown to love, starting from May Bukas Pa with the iconic character of Santino, modern teleserye classic 100 Days to Heaven starring Jodie Sta. Maria and Connie Reyes, and now JaDine’s On The Wings of Love.

Premiered on ABS-CBN in August 2015, OTWOL, short for On The Wings of Love was the first-ever drama series for James Reid and Nadine Lustre. It follows the story of two people– Clark Medina, a boy living in America, and Leah Olivar-Medina, a Filipina with an American dream– who agreed to marry each other in the US for legalization purposes. From two strangers who hate each other’s guts but must coexist under one roof, fate has them turning into legit lovers over time. The show ran until February the following year.

A bittersweet throwback

The future is uncertain if we would see them reuniting on the screen once again. But what’s certain is that their real-life love story has been declared as over. The ex-couple offically confirmed the break-up rumors by releasing a joint statement in a January episode of Tonight with Boy Abunda

“It’s true that we have split up, but not for all the reasons that are being spread on the tabloids and social media, but because after quiet and mature conversations, we decided to focus on ourselves not only for our careers but more for our personal growth as we are still young and we want to achieve as much as we can,” they said in the statement.

Well, it’s called ‘throwback’ because it’s supposed to bring back good memories. Relive the most precious JaDine moments in On The Wings of Love at ABS-CBN Primetime Bida, 8:45-8:50PM.
