Pamilya Ordinaryo, the 2016 Cinemalaya Best Film has claimed the top spot on Netflix Philippines. Since its release last June 26, people have been raving about the film’s disheartening yet raw depiction of the injustices in our country. It has garnered many praises for showcasing the plight of our poor and the abuse they go through in the face of social inequality.

The story revolves around the teenage parents Aries (Ronwaldo Martin) and Jane Ordinaryo (Hasmine Killip) as they dwell in the streets of Manila, pick-pocketing for a living. The young couple is then suddenly pushed to the extremes when their 1-month old baby gets kidnapped.
