Pinoys have gone international again! Nadine Lustre and Sam Concepcion shared the Jakarta stage with Dua Lipa, and they killed it!
Nadine Lustre is at it again! After her partnership with H&M, news broke out that she, along with Sam Concepcion and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach are to join the Lazada Super Party! The party, celebrating Lazada’s 7th anniversary, was held last Tuesday, March 26!
Here they are performing a mash-up of “Stay Up” and “No Limitations”.
That performance was like fire. Both performers did good, there’s no doubt about that. And this came as no surprise because we all know how they do it. If it’s Sam Concepcion or Nadine Lustre, we already know it’s going to be good.
The only thing off in this is that there isn’t that much crowd energy to match since most didn’t know the words to the songs. But I guess that’s the idea! They sang their originals because they want the international crowd to be able to hear their music. Nothing wrong with that, actually it’s a great way to introduce OPM to other countries!
Dua Lipa is queen
While the two did great in the Lazada Super Party, the highlight of the event was Dua Lipa‘s performances. She performed some of her hit songs including “IDGAF,” “Electricity,” “Scared to be Lonely,” and “One Kiss.” For the encore, she sang “New Rules”. Man, if I was there, I’d be singing my heart out to these!
You might be asking why it’s such a big deal for us that our local artists get to share the stage with Dua. Well, not only is she a multi-awarded an international artist. To be lined up with such high-caliber performers is a privilege more than anything else, and there is so much respect given to them. If you’re someone chosen to perform alongside them, that means you’re lucky and that you have the skills for it.
Here’s Dua performing “New Rules”!
Pia Wurtzbach, on the other hand, was selected as the host of the party, for which she wore a stunning dress by Indonesian designer Cynthia Tan!
We all wish we were there to watch! What did you think about Nadine’s and Sam’s performance? Let us know in the comment section below. You can also send us a message on our Facebook or Twitter @UDoUPh.
