Whoa, it was never our intention to brag, but Hayley Williams will be going solo this 2020 and we just couldn’t be prouder!
We don’t quite know how to feel about 2020 so far, as there has been both amazing and disappointing news lately. But if you’re fearing that Hayley Williams going solo will mean that she’s leaving Paramore, fear not! Because that’s not what’s happening at all!
For more than ten years now, Hayley Williams has been there through our angst-filled teen years, from our first time falling in love all the way to our first heartbreak. And her voice as Paramore’s frontwoman has been a guiding force for us. So now that she has announced that she’ll be putting out solo music as a means of “self-discovery”, we simply can’t wait to go on that journey with her as she was there for us!
It was on Twitter last December 28, that she announced the big news. So check it out below:

The reason we’re confident that she’s not leaving Paramore is this line right here:
“I’m putting out some music next year. With the help of some of my closest friends, I made something I’m going to call my own.”
Because only true Paramore fans know that what they have as a band extends to that of life-long friendships! And if there’s anyone who Hayley is referring to as “my closest friends,” it’s probably her band-mates! So her going solo definitely has the blessing and support of her fellow Paramore members.
It’s been two years since Paramore has put out new music, and yet…
It was way back in 2017 that Paramore had released its most recent album ‘After Laughter’. It was the comeback album that gave us hits like ‘Hard Times’, ‘Fake Happy’ and ‘Rose-Colored Boy’.
And yet, even after such a long and ongoing hiatus from creating new music their fan base remains strong. In 2019 alone, their songs amassed a total of 509.2 million streams on Spotify, with 27.4 million listeners across 79 countries around the world! So it only goes to show how much their music stays with the lives of the people that they’ve touched,
And we firmly believe and hope that Hayley Williams going solo will not hinder Paramore’s long-lasting connection with its fans but instead strengthen it even more!
Overall, we’re counting on this Hayley:
“It’s a really special project and you’ll get a taste of it in January.”
And we don’t care if it’s a small bite or if you stuff us full! We’ll take anything and everything, really. So in the meantime, why don’t you stream ‘After Laughter’ on Spotify instead?
