There are only a few days left until the holidays! And you know what that means—the Metro Manila Film Festival 2019 is fast-approaching! Check out the full entries here!

2019 has been a good run for Filipino film artistry. First, we had the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino in September. Next, we had the C1 Originals Festival that ran from November 7 to 17. And now, we’re calling out all movie enthusiasts out there ‘cuz you’re in for another treat! We have right here the official entries that made it to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2019 roster! Yaaas.

The much-awaited festival will be held on December 25 until the first week of January 2020, which includes eight films of different genres.

So without further ado, here are some of the films that made it to the MMFF 2019 final list:

‘The Mall, The Merrier’ by Barry Gonzales

We all know by now that comedian and actor, Vice Ganda, isn’t new to the MMFF scene. And this year’s he’s bringing in loads of laughter for us with ‘The Mall, The Merrier’ together with a star-studded cast: Anne Curtis, Tony Labrusca, and Dimples Romana!

‘Mindanao’ by Brillante Mendoza

Unlike ‘The Mall, The Merrier’, ‘Mindanao’ is a film on a more serious note featuring Judy Ann Santos as a struggling mother and wife whose child has terminal cancer and a husband in a battle.

‘Miracle in Cell No. 7’ by Nuel Naval

Next up in line is a Filipino adaptation of the 2013 Korean movie, ‘Miracle in Cell No. 7’. It will follow the story of a wrongfully accused mentally-challenged father and his young daughter’s fight for his justice. One of the lead stars for this film is Aga Mulach.

‘Sunod’ by Carlo Ledesma

In addition, if scary films are up to your alley how about ‘Sunod’ starring Carmina Villaroel and JC Santos?

‘Culion’ by Alvin Yapan

‘Culion’ is a film that talks about the overlooked truth of having leprosy. This film tells the story of three friends Anna (Iza Calzado), Ditas (Jasmine Curtis-Smith), Doris (Meryll Soriano), and a community who all have this disease.

‘3pol Trobol: Huli Ka Balbon’ by Rodel Nacianceno

Here’s another comedy film from the blockbuster king himself, Coco Martin! Other actors and actresses with him will be Jennylyn Mercado, Ai Ai delas Alas, and even Mayor Isko Morena!

‘Mission Unstapabol: The Don Identity’ by Mike Tuveria

So who said we’re done with comedy movies? MMFF reigning master, Vic Sotto, teams up with Maine Mendoza for another action-packed film sprinkled with humor!

‘Write About Love’ by Cristano Aquino

Last but not least, we have ‘Write About Love’–a feel-good love story with Miles Ocampo, Rocco Nacino, and Yeng Constantino.
