Cole Sprouse is back as Will in the ‘Five Feet Apart’ movie!

‘Five Feet Apart’ stars Cole Sprouse and Haley Lu Richardson in a romantic drama that will surely teach us a lot about the importance of human touch.

With Riverdale, our Jughead will now play the role of a cystic fibrosis patient. He and CF patient named  Stella (played by Haley) fell in love. But, from what the trailer tells us, they could not get closer than 6 feet, or they’ll catch each other’s bacteria, and then die (we don’t want that!).

The film’s title ‘Five Feet Apart’ was seemingly based on Stella’s decision to start getting closer to Will by subtracting just a foot from the required distance between them.

Why you shouldn’t miss it

For one, the film focuses on a new kind of forbidden love. No, this is not the classic “my parents don’t want us to be together” cliche. This is a life-and-death type of forbidden love. Perhaps some of us couldn’t even imagine not touching or even getting close to the people we love. Also, watching the trailer will somehow make you consider what you would want the characters in the film do. You want them to be together and the romance is killing you, but you also don’t want them to die (big dilemma).

Second, Haley Lu Richardson is also a must-see in this film. Although we have seen her in films like ‘The Edge of Seventeen’, and ‘Split’ in 2016, Stella is a different and more heavily emotional role to see.

Reminds me of another movie…

When I first watched the trailer, the first thing that came to mind was ‘The Fault in our Stars’. Somehow, it had a resemblance in the characters’ circumstances (not just because of the cannula tube on their noses). Only it was cancer and not cystic fibrosis in that film. My expectations couldn’t be higher! I don’t know about you but I’m certainly bringing a box of tissue with me when I watch ‘Five Feet Apart’ (and a lot of snacks, too!).

And, of course, who would want to miss anything that involves Cole Sprouse? Our childhood crush has definitely evolved from living the suite life to actually breaking rules in this film.

Overall, the ‘Five Feet Apart’ trailer just gave us something to be excited and curious about! Are Stella and Will actually going to touch? Will they survive the consequences of giving in to their love? We’ll surely find out soon, because ‘Five Feet Apart’ airs on the big screens on the 15th of March.
