Say goodbye to Rachel, Phoebe, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Ross ‘cuz it’s official! F.R.I.E.N.D.S. has left Netflix.
New Year is arguably the most awaited holiday for anyone. Not only does it mean a chance to start over in life but also, to leave some things behind in the previous year. But it doesn’t mean saying goodbye to only the bad things. While we all know by now that our beloved sitcom series, ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S.’ will be discontinued on Netflix at the start of 2020, we still can’t save ourselves from the heartbreak. What a way to great the new decade!
And of course, we’re not the only ones who feel this way…
Happy New Years Eve!!!

Since you’re already here and you’re probably already missing the gang then check out our article on Celebrating 25 Years of FRIENDS after they celebrated their anniversary last September.
If you’re like us, who constantly binge watch episodes of ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S.’ on Netflix during boring days at home. And basically any time of the day that we need a good laugh. Well, we’re sorry to tell you that you only have a few more months left to spend with your favorite group of friends. Because ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S.’ will be leaving Netflix by 2020. And making its new home on HBO Max. This is making us sad, for reals. It’s just, who wants to sign up for multiple streaming services? Ugh.
We’re being bamboozled by HBO Max!
If you’re asking yourselves “why?” And, “how could they do this?” Well, that’s because WarnerMedia owns the distribution rights to the show. And the people in charge somehow decided that Netflix isn’t good enough for them or something. So they decided that HBO Max will be our beloved sitcom’s new home. It’s expected to launch in the Spring of 2020, stateside. And aside from ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S.’, it will also include shows like ‘Pretty Little Liars’, ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’, and the upcoming CW ‘Riverdale’ spin-off ‘Katy Keene‘ will also be on the new streaming service. And honestly, I don’t know any other HBO Original out there that’s noteworthy aside from ‘Game of Thrones‘. So why even bother with it?
They said I’ll be there for you…
For those of you (us) that can’t afford to avail of another streaming service, this is just really sad news. Because saying goodbye is never easy. And although we have a bit of time left, there’s just nothing like the feeling of being able to pop out your phone and stream friends directly off Netflix. It’s such a first-world problem, but who has time to look for a good streaming website?
We’re just basically really sad over this. Because watching ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S.’ makes us feel like we’re a part of their colorful lives. And they’ve always given us a good laugh when we needed it. As well as some valuable life lessons we will always cherish.
