Ben&Ben went from singers to actors, real quick! They are about to star in a movie coming out this September!

Let’s be honest, a band turning to acting doesn’t happen that often! Ben&Ben has been a mainstay in most of our playlists because of their great songs, yes. And did we expect that they’ll be acting soon? No! But are we excited about it? A big YES!

The band is made up of the twin brothers, Paolo and Miguel Guico on acoustic guitars and vocals, Poch Barretto on electric guitar, Jam Villanueva on drums, Agnes Reoma on bass, Patricia Lasaten on keyboards, Toni Muñoz, Andrew de Pano on percussions, and Keifer Cabugao on violin. The nine-piece has graced us with hits like ‘Ride Home’, ‘Leaves’, ‘Maybe the Night’, and (my personal favorite) ‘Kathang Isip’ in the short period that they have been active.

More people have come to love them as they slowly made their name in the Filipino music scene. And no one can say that they don’t deserve all the love they’re receiving, though, because they are truly talented musicians. In fact, even famous singer Moira de la Torre had the band sing for her wedding day. Knowing Moira’s background in music, she picked the band to sing for her most special day. How special is that?!

The movie will be called ‘LSS (Last Song Syndrome)’. Quite fittingly, we have had LSS over and over again because of Ben&Ben, and now they’ll be starring in a movie! The film would be an official entry (it’sone of the first three finalists) for the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino which will be held on September 12 to 15!

The film was directed by Jade Castro, who is also the director of ‘My Big Love’, a movie in 2008 starring Toni Gonzaga and Sam Milby. This movie made us realize that we are worth loving, no matter our size and shapes (and made us want to work out). From what we have watched, we can’t wait to finally see this film! “LSS” will also star Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos as the main roles.

What roles will the band play? We’re not sure yet. We have yet to see the trailer for the film and we are now on the edge of our seats! Are you excited for ‘LSS’ too? Share us your thoughts in the comment section below! You can also send us a message on our Facebook or Twitter @UDoUPh.
