Angkas is proving to us why they’re the best means of commuting by offering free rides! Yas!
Angkas saves day, yet again, by offering FREE rides for commuters out there! Yes, you heard it right! So you don’t have to worry about the heavy traffic along your way.
The reason for this is due to LRT-2 operations partially halting after the station’s transformer caught on fire on Friday, resulting in thousands of LRT commuters trudging the horrifying traffic in Manila.
Our favorite ride-hailing app took it to Twitter to make this wonderful excitement! The promo will run from Tuesday until Thursday from 8 am to 10 am and from 5 pm to 7 pm! And a little heads up, it’ll be only from Santolan to Recto Station and vice versa!
Free rides from Recto to Santolan Station (and vice-versa), anyone? 🛵 pic.twitter.com/JuokulxQD1

And people all over Twitter are going crazy about Angkas’ kind gesture (including us too)!

And this one particular tweet had us all laughing!
JUST IN:
Angkas has been rushed to the hospital due to severe back pains from carrying the responsibilities of the government https://t.co/J87wJZ4uEc

But is it really true that Angkas has been contributing more to lessen the hassle of commuting compared to the government? Palace speaker, Panelo, denied the existence of such crisis. He even claimed commuters can still make it to their destination if they wake up earlier.
This outraged people even further as they say that our government officials haven’t experienced Manila’s traffic because they’re all escorted by jets and helicopters.
How about you? What do you think of Angkas as it saved the day by offering free rides to LRT 2 commuters? And do you think there’s really no traffic crisis in Manila like Panelo said?
