An incredibly unlikely match, but it could happen, anyway!

At this point, both the Fast and Furious and Jurassic World franchises could do no wrong except stick to the same, old route that has made them both a commercial success. After nine movies, each of which has outdone its predecessor in terms of ambitiousness, one can only wonder how far Fast and Furious can go to offer their fans something new and exciting. The same goes for the Jurassic Park franchise; I mean, we’ve seen enough of Dinosaur-centered drama. What else have we not seen?

Apparently, we haven’t seen a crossover between the world of street racing and dinosaurs– a scenario that F9 director Justin Lin agreed was possible.

In the midst of the hype surrounding the ninth installment in the Fast and Furious series, F9, and its new trailer, Justin Lin was asked in a virtual press conference what he thought about merging the two franchises.

“Well, I’ve never said never to anything,” said the filmmaker. “And the fact that part of our philosophy is not to ever be boxed in or labeled. And that’s all I will say.”

Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Letty in the action-fueled film series, shares the same sentiments. “Once you reach a certain pinnacle, there’s nowhere to go but to cross-brand and merge, it’s what big corporations do with each other when they get too big, you know what I mean?” she said. “You just have to brand and merge with each other. But the only thing standing in the way is lawyers and studios. Because usually the brands that you’re trying to merge belong to different studios or whatever. But it’s under the same umbrella. I don’t know. I’m just saying. It works.”

How would this work, you might be wondering? Universal Studios owns both the Fast and Furious and Jurassic Park/World franchises, which means collaboration between these two brands is possible.

Meanwhile, Universal Studios has recently released the latest trailer for F9, which, as expected, sees the new film upping its game, ridiculousness-wise. In addition to John Cena being introduced as Vin Diesel’s forsaken brother, we’re now seeing Dominic Torreto’s crew heading to space– an idea that fans would once jokingly suggest given the franchise’s inclination for impossible action scenes.
