All three seasons of Avatar: The Last Airbender have come to Netflix, ready for your binge-watching!
We can’t really say we’ve missed watching this beloved animated classic; I, for one, have rewatched it too many times than I would be comfortable admitting– all the 61 episodes, from the beginning ’till the super satisfying finale, over and over again, in a span of 15 years. Still, that did not prevent me from going gaga over the announcement that fans would be able to relive once again the journey of Aang as he masters bending all the four elements to stop the Fire Nation from completely taking over the world.

First airing on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008, the show has won several awards including a Peabody Award and a Primetime Emmy. Its everlasting hype has paved the way for the creation of a live-action film in 2010 and a sequel called ‘The Legend of Korra’. Hailed as one of the greatest shows ever made, it’s cemented upon exceptional story arc, fantastic character development, and its commendable attempt to tackle big issues like war and corruption, which are still relevant today.
Avatar: The Legend of Aang became available on Netflix in 2019, but only for a brief period of time as it was later removed. It made a grand return on the video-streaming platform on Friday, May 15, presumably to hype fans for Netflix’s planned live-action adaptation of “one of the best shows ever made.” (Read more: Why ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ is the best animated series ever)
