From X-Men, to American Horror Story, to WandaVision– now, the incredibly talented and versatile Evan Peters is set to portray a real-life serial killer in an upcoming Netflix series.

Jeffrey Dahmer, the widely notorious American serial killer known as the Milwaukee Cannibal is set to have his story retold once again, this time by streaming behemoth Netflix. First to be portrayed by The Avengers star Jeremy Renner in the 2002 film “Dahmer,” and then by Ross Lynch in 2017’s “My Friend Dahmer,” Dahmer will be played by none other than Evan Peters.

Netflix’s take on one of America’s most popular crime stories will be done via a 10-episode series entitled “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.” Produced by AHS’ Ryan Murphy, the biopic series will detail how police incompetence and white privilege contributed to a series of killings committed by the Wisconsin native. Told via the victims’ perspective, it will reportedly shed light on 10 instances when Dahmer was merely questioned but not arrested for his crimes, allowing him to roam free and kill more people.

Evan Peters, 34, doesn’t have anything more to prove when it comes to his acting abilities and range. From his role ‘Quicksilver’ in the Xmen franchise and WandaVision to the wide array of unique characters he has portrayed as a household name in the long-running anthology series American Horror Story, he has already established himself as one of the most versatile actors in this generation. Only he can tell what challenges he’s facing as he takes on Dahmer (or if there is one, considering how close to legendary his portfolio is), but for all we know, Netflix has picked the perfect guy and it’s going to be another spectacular performance.
