Enchanting, calculating, and exceptional—Gazini Christiana Ganados takes the crown as the new Miss Universe Philippines 2019!
Hailing from Talisay City, Cebu, Gazini Christiana Ganados is the newly crowned Miss Universe 2019. Among 40 other candidates, she emerged victorious during the Binibining Pilipinas 2019 coronation night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The 23- year old Gazini Christiana Ganados has a Bachelo’s Degree on Tourism University of San Jose – Recoletos. Aside from that, she’s also a fashion model and a beauty title pageant holder for numerous pageants. Similar to her co-aspirants, she, too, has an advocacy close to her heart.
During the final Question & Answer portion, Ganados shared her piece about her advocacy. The question was “If you win the crown tonight, what will you do to get more women in the workplace?”.
“If I win the crown tonight, what I do is to promote my advocacy. My advocacy is for us women to fight for our rights and for the elderly women and for us to know that someone is loving us, someone is pushing us to whatever ambitions that we have. We will be able to rise from our decisions, to whatever dreams that we have, goals that we have, and we will achieve it because of those values, those wisdoms that they gave us. Thank you.”
Her advocacy rooted from her own grandparents. During childhood, she spends a lot of time with them. As elders, they’ve become an integral part of Ganados’ character development. Their values and teachings, so to speak. And in return, she wants to help the elderly receive the care they need to. Unlike the other countries such as the U.S., they already have a systematized program that helps the elderly.
Putting aside her beauty and charisma, it only proves Ganados’ wide perspective about life that can be a great help in the Miss Universe organization. No wonder she won the pageant. Furthermore, she also bagged special awards, particularly The Face of Binibini (Miss Photogenic) and Best in Long Gown. Because of her victory, she was also awarded by the 14th Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Cebu with a recognition.
She will be representing the country in the next upcoming Miss Universe 2019 pageant!
