BLINKS, are you ready to see Jisoo star in a K-Drama?

That time has come because BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is the newest K-pop idol to play a leading role in a drama from the producers of “Sky Castle”, who will be offering us a new show called “Snowdrop”.

According to Joongang Tongyang Broadcasting Company’s (JTBC) announcement on October 5, the upcoming drama with the working title “Snowdrop” will star BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and Jung Hae In, who recently starred in “Something in the Rain” along side Crash Landing On You’s Yoon Se-ri, Son Ye-jin.

A triple threat

In the K-pop world, triple threat is a term used to call idols who excel in acting, singing, and dancing. And what else can we say but BLACKPINK Jisoo really is a triple threat!

From her vocals, to her dancing skills, and a couple of acting gigs she did before (which we bet you didn’t know about!) she really continues to prove that she is nothing but a queen everyone should know about!

In case you haven’t seen Jisoo’s acting gigs:

Apart from singing, dancing, and acting, Jisoo has also added a new title to her name, songwriter. As seen on the tracklist poster posted on YG’s official Twitter account, Jisoo was credited for co-writing one of their newest songs, “Lovesick Girls”, together with BLACKPINK Jennie.

Snowdrop: What we know so far

According to reports, “Snowdrop” will be written by Yoo Hyunmi and directed by Jo Hyuntak, who previously worked together on one of JTBC’s hit series “Sky Castle”.

Apart from Jisoo and Jung Hae In, the producers made sure to have a star-studded cast including Kim Hye-yoonJang Seung Jo, Yoon Se-ah, and Jung Yoo-jin.

Additionally, the story will be set up in Seoul in 1987. The drama will tell the love story of Soo Ho (played by Jung Hae In), a student at a prestigious school who unexpectedly rushes to a woman’s bedroom covered in blood, and taken care of a cheerful student who hides him and tends to his wounds while facing danger under near surveillance, Young Cho (played by Jisoo).

“Snowdrop” is said to be scheduled to premiere sometime in 2021.
