In cased you missed it, Hulu unveiled a few first looks of their upcoming miniseries, Looking For Alaska. Featuring a few familiar faces, you’ll find yourself looking back to 2005.
Looking For Alaska is one of John Green‘s award-winning young adult novel. For the past few years, a few of his novels got movie adaptations of its own. And this time, Looking For Alaska gets that adaptation treatment, in the form of a miniseries. Streaming platform, Hulu will be the one airing the eight-episode limited series of the said novel. It will be spearheaded by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the geniuses behind cult-favorites The O.C and Gossip Girl.

Set in the early 2000s, Looking For Alaska is a coming-of-age story. It follows the story of Miles “Pudge” Halter who enrolls at a boarding school in hopes to find his Great Perhaps. Despite his young age, he finds himself fascinated with last words. And his search of his Great Perhaps started after the last words of dying poet Francois Rabelais. As he struggles to fit in and build friendships, he falls in love with the enigmatic Alaska Young.
The miniseries will feature a few rising actors. Charlie Plummer will be playing Miles while Kristine Froseth will be playing the titular role of Alaska. Aside from them, Denny Love will play as Chip “The Colonel” Martin, Jay Lee as hip-hop emcee Takumi Hikohito and Timothy Simons as Dean Starnes or “The Eagle”.
Hulu’s Looking for Alaska will hit the screens on October 18.
