Drake Brings More of Everything in ‘More Life’

More Life, Drake’s 22-track “playlist” dropped on March 18 and has since taken over the internet. Drake’s More Life garnered more plays on Spotify with 61,302,082 for the playlist alone and 76,355,041 for Drake’s body of work as a whole within the first 24-hours of release, which way more than any other artist to date (sorry, Ed).

A lot of artists worked on this non-album, Kanye West, 2 Chainz, Young Thug, Quavo, Travis Scott, Lil Wayne, Giggs, Skepta, Sampha, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Jorja Smith, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Black Coffee just to name a few. The song Glow is actually the first song wherein Drizzy has collaborated with Yezzy, and Yeezy alone (although, the whole song took around 18 songwriters and producers to create). Drake, along with these talented artists, made More Life for the everyday-man, something we can play and use as sort of a musical score to our daily lives.

Drake isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. He sees More Life as a bridge between major works, not his fifth studio album. His eyes are already set on his next musical venture, it seems the 6-God isn’t quite satisfied yet. In the song “Gyalchester” Drake claims that, “I know I said top five, but I’m top two”, further cementing his place in the rap game.
