CONFIRMED! John Mayer and Chance the Rapper are/will be working together for a collaboration that is sure to blow us all away.
Thanks, Dave Chappelle
After being spotted together at comedian Dave Chappelle’s show at Radio City Music Hall last August 17, rumors of a collaboration between singer-songwriter John Mayer and Chance the Rapper buzzed the interwebs. On August 20, Lil Chano himself addressed the hearsay with one word:

John Mayer followed up the comment three hours later:

All we can say is, HALLELUJAH, PRAISE JESUS! It’s about damn time these two superstars work on a track together. Details of the partnership are yet to be released, but just imagine the eargasm of Chano spitting fire over some signature John Mayer blues guitar riffs. It’s like a dream come true.
Mayer + Bennett = Matchmade in Heaven
The pair’s music careers are, without a doubt, celebrated. To quote Janis Ian, “Everybody in the English-speaking world knows that song.” You hear their songs on the radio, on nearly every Spotify playlist, and remade as covers on YouTube.
Mayer’s latest EP release, “The Search for Everything: Wave Two” was released in February of this year as a follow up to “The Search for Everything: Wave One”. Meanwhile, Chano and his band The Social Experiment just unexpectedly dropped “Gimmie a Call”. The track features his younger brother Taylor Bennett who put it up on his SoundCloud.
Bruno Mars Joins In
While all this was happening, “Versace on the Floor” singer Bruno Mars casually tagged Chance in a Q&A Tweet:

The internet broke two days in a row (beat that, Kim Kardashian) thanks to the three musicians. Positive responses flooded social media yet again, urging them to make it happen and already claiming the song to be legendary. At the rate Mayer, Mars, and Chano are going, the last quarter of 2017 is bound to be epic. Thank you, Chance the Rapper—we’re ready for our blessings and our miracles.
