Join Callalily as they celebrate 15 Years in the Music Industry with an Open Collaboration with an Aspiring Songwriter for their Next Single!

15 years (& counting!), the number of years in the music industry is a testament to the work and effort put in by Callalily.

The alternative band celebrated their anniversary in typical Callalily fashion.

They decided to celebrate this incredible milestone by launching an online-based songwriting competition simply called Callalily: Open Collab, aiming to find the best original compositions from aspiring songwriters all over the country. They will then turn the selected piece into their next single.

Callalily wants to serve as a platform for amateur songwriters across the country. They want to give unheard musicians a chance and an opportunity for their music to be heard.

The competition took place on Callalily’s facebook page. They held live, online screenings of ten pre-selected songs from eight hopeful songwriters, which were divided into two batches of screenings; the first one was held last May 5 and the next one followed last May 16.

The aspiring songwriters performed their own compositions with the band listening and judging, a sort of like an online “The Voice” vibe which was surprisingly a very new take in the process of song creation &  collaboration.

The results of this open collaboration are yet to be announced as the program is still ongoing but definitely Callalily assures their fans that they will be treated with songs that are truly new and full of passion! One main song to look out for will be a collaboration with the winner of the competition. Really Exciting!

Missing Callalily? and can’t wait for the release of their songs? Don’t worry, the band has been keeping themselves busy even during this lockdown. Listen to one of their many quarantine jam sessions below!

Congratulations, Callalily, on your 15th year, and here’s to 15 more!
