Bruno Mars has recently earned his first top 1 hit with “That’s What I Like” on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart after 14 weeks. The song from his new album beats “24K Magic” which only reached top 3 at its peak.
“That’s What I Like” hit 2-1 in the week leading up to April 1. It is worth noting that the chart is based on the radio airplay points and streaming plays online in the United States. The Bruno Mars song gathered more than 26.9 million clicks in the U.S. in the week ending in March 16, according to Billboard.
One of the reasons for the huge boost is the new “That’s What I Like” music video posted on YouTube. As of this writing, the said video already has more than 109 million views with over 1.7 million likes. I guess a lot of people, including me, liked the track a lot.
Bruno Mars Performances You’ll Like
Even before the official music video was released, the Filipino-American singer-songwriter already managed to capture hearts with his live performances. Bruno Mars performed “That’s What I Like” during the Grammy Awards 2017 and Brit Awards 2017.
What’s not to like? Bruno can sing and dance “That’s What I Like” while making every girl blush. He is one of today’s rare total performers that don’t need autotune. I mean look at his recent performance below.
Bruno Mars can even do impressions. No, seriously. Watch and listen to the SNL clip below where he even tries to sing a generic Greenday song as well as one from Justin Bieber. He even tried a little Louie Armstrong. He also does his famous Michael Jackson impression.
Not convinced of his talent yet? Watch the clip below to see Bruno Mars dancing with the Jabbawockeez. Now, that’s what I like!
This isn’t exactly a live performance, but the James Corden Carpool Karaoke with Bruno Mars shows a friendlier side to the total performer. He also teaches Corden how to do the shoulders step while singing “Versace on the Floor.”
Bruno Mars certainly surprises us with each new album release. We hope there will be more surprises soon!
