We would like to express our gratitude for trusting us with your information, and we intend to keep that trust. We want to make sure that you understand what information we collect, why we collect that information, and how it is used, in the simplest way possible.
What information we collect
We collect basic profile details to help you experience meaningful connections. We also collect information generated as you use our services, such as access logs, including information from third parties, such as when you access our services through a social media account.
However, you choose to give us certain information when using our services:
When you create an account, you provide us with at least your login credentials, as well as some basic details necessary for the service to work.
When you add photos and videos, you allow us to access your camera or photo gallery. Some of the information you choose to provide us may be considered “special” or “sensitive” in certain jurisdictions, for example your racial or ethnic origins, sexual orientation and religious beliefs. By choosing to provide this information, you consent to our processing of that information.
When you participate in our events, contests, or promotions, you allow us to collect information that you use to register.
When you contact our customer care team, you allow us to collect information that you provide us during the process. We also have to monitor and record the said information for training purposes and for further service development.
You are able to use your social media login (such as Facebook) to create and log into your AfterParty account. This way, you do not have to remember your username and password since you can directly log in through your social media accounts.
How we use information
We have to collect and use your information to ensure safety, and deliver services and content relevant to you. For instance:
Please note that we also collect your data to comply with legal requirements.
How we share information
Since AfterParty is a social media app, the main sharing process of users’ information is through your connection with other users. As such, we would like to ask you to be extra cautious of what you post on our services as they are publically viewable. We do not control what others do with your information.
Additionally, we use third parties to help us operate and improve our services. These third parties assist us with different tasks, including data hosting and maintenance, analytics, and security operations.
We may also share information with partners and sponsors who assist us in other aspects of our services, such as events and contests. For instance, we may share limited information about you in obfuscated form to other partners.
In cases of law requirements, we may disclose your information to comply with a legal process, to assist in the prevention or detection of crime, and to protect the safety of any user. We may also share information if such disclosure would lift our liability in an actual or threatened lawsuit, including protection of our legal rights, and prevention of fraud and other illegal activities.
How we protect your information
We assure you that we are working hard to keep your safety as our priority, especially in cases of unathorized access of your personal information. We regularly monitor malicious attacks, and update our security measures. However, we cannot promise that your information will always remain secure.
We also have the right to suspend your use in case we suspect any breach of security. Should you feel that you are no longer secure when using our services, kindly notify us immediately through our customer care support.
