Yes, you read it correctly, the cloud-based Pokemon storage service, Pokemon Home, is now available on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
In case you don’t know what this means, well, basically you can now manage your Pokemons from different platforms into one stash. Aren’t you glad now that you can sleep peacefully knowing your little friends are kept in one place?
You can even access your collection on Game Boys by connecting to Pokémon Bank which syncs your favorite monsters across different editions of the game. All the while you can also trade with fellow trainers, participate in Wonder Box and the Global Trade System, and much more!
However, there are slight differences when it comes to the Nintendo Switch version and on mobile. For one, Pokemon Home in Switch does not allow for trading, receiving Mystery Gifts, and checking Battle Data and News. As for the mobile platform, trainers are not allowed to move Pokemons from Pokemon Sword, Pokemon Shield, Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!, and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! or exchange Pokemon Home Points for BP (Battle Points).
A new Professor Oak
Another thing to be excited about is Pokemon Home introducing a new Professor Oak, who sports a long beard and funky glasses. Called as Grand Oak, while some calling him Alolan Oak in reference to Professor Oak’s cousin in Pokémon Sun and Moon.
What are you waiting for? You can now download it for free! Users can also upgrade to a Premium Plan starting at $2.99 for a month.
