2. Umibig Muli by Janine Tenoso

When love hurts you, there is a chance that you would be scared to ever love again. Janine Teñoso says don’t be.

Feel the pain, then let yourself heal. For sure, your heart just might be ready to love again soon.
The last time we have heard of Janine Teñoso‘s voice was when we listened to the soundtrack of the “Miracle in Cell No. 7” Philippine adaptation. As an official song used for the movie, she sang “Tag-Araw” and of course, she did it beautifully. Now, she has released a new single titled “Umibig Muli” which she wrote herself.

Using her beautiful, mellow voice, Janine Teñoso surely charmed us with this new single of hers. Talking about the pain that comes from love, she eventually shares a positive message about healing.

4. Selos by Kuatro Kantos

This one’s for all the jealous girlfriends out there! ‘Selos’ by Kuatro Kantos may be the “kilig” factor you need to send to your girlfriend to calm her jealous tendencies! But then again, you have to make sure your delivery is the “malambing”. Because the lines:

Ikaw lang walang iba

Kung sa piling mo naman ako’y masaya

Bakit pa ko maghahanap ng iba

Are a bit overused, and she may not believe you. But kidding aside, it’s a stellar song with a great rhythm and impactful lyrics. So give ‘Selos’ by Kuatro Kantos a listen today!

5. Ode by EAAASY

Open in Spotify

Are you looking for something that packs a little more punch? Well, look no further than ‘Ode’ by EAAASY! We can always count on EAAASY for our rock music fix, and ‘Ode’ is another welcome addition to our collection. ‘Ode’ is appropriately an ode or dedication to someone that you just can’t get over. But you just can’t get the million little tiny things about that person out of your head. And just like that, we also cannot get ‘Ode’ by EAAASY out of our heads.

6. Ikaw Pa Rin by Pio Balbuena and Yano G

So to complete our Top 10 Songs of the Week, here’s a little bit of rap. And we swear that ‘Ikaw Pa Rin’ by Pio Balbuena and Yano G won’t disappoint! Although the story it tells is nothing new, and maybe that’s why it’s so relatable. But if you find yourself wanting for song with a smooth and easy hook, with a combination of spitfire lines, this one’s for you.

7. Kumander by Mayonnaise

The OG rock band, Mayonnaise, has been working as hard as Christmas elves to deliver these presents on time through the holidays! Because last Christmas Day, they just dropped their latest single, and on New Year’s they dropped the music video for it as well! Check out ‘Kumander’ by Mayonnaise right here!

‘Kumander’ by Mayonnaise has an overall fun and playful vibe that banks on the relatability of the kind of relationship the song tells. The kind of relationship that has one swearing they love the other despite not listening to what they say. And the other always nagging the other for not listening, but do it because that’s their love language. Now, although that seems like a problematic and toxic kind of relationship, we believe that songs shouldn’t only tell the “good kind”  of relationships.

8. Tagumpay by Rocksteddy

Y’all know that this song deserves a spot on our Top 10 Songs of the Week just for having the lyrics “susuka ng susuka, pero ‘di susuko!” Which literally translates to, “I’ll vomit, but I won’t give up!” Our fellow alcoholics knows what’s up! But kidding aside, this latest release from Rocksteddy is a catchy headbanger, that will be a surefire hit at inuman sessions with the gang! So add ‘Tagumpay’ by Rocksteddy to your playlists today!

9. Saglit by Hilera

2020 is the year to shoot your shot, my friends! And you can take it from Hilera with their song ‘Saglit’! Because this song is all about pursuing the person you like if they’ll allow it. Not only that, but its catchy guitar riffs and drum ensembles will keep ‘Saglit’ by Hilera replaying in your head over and over! So give ‘Saglit’ by Hilera a listen today!

10. Golden Age by Paper Satellites

Open in Spotify

Ever since we listened to ‘Golden Age’ by Paper Satellites we cannot get this line out of our heads: “You are what you wanna be.” And we’re feeling kind of defensive (cue in “is this an attack?” memes here). But we just have to say that this latest release from Paper Satellites is truly a showmanship of their skills to create a smooth yet surprising blend of instrumentals. And we’re absolutely living for it. So needless to say we’ll be looking out for more of Paper Satellites.
