The first new Japanese inspired matcha drink from Starbucks is the Roasted Soybean Pure Matcha Latte. This drink is purely matcha-based that’s topped with cold foam and roasted soybean powder, and then drizzled with Okinawa brown sugar. You can get the Roasted Soybean Pure Matcha Latte either hot or iced, and prices start at 175 PHP for a Tall.
Black Sesame Pure Matcha Latte with Taro Foam
The second Japanese Inspired matcha drink from Starbucks is the Black Sesame Pure Matcha Latte with Taro Foam. It’s also a purely matcha based drink, but this time it’s drizzled with black sesame sauce and topped with a pretty layer of purple taro foam. You can also get it either hot or iced, and prices start at 175 PHP for a Tall.
Okinawa Brown Sugar Latte
Another welcome addition to the roster of new Starbucks drinks is the Okinawa Brown Sugar Latte, although this drink isn’t exactly new, per se, since they just brought it back. It was first introduced last year during the “brown sugar craze” that’s still popular in milk tea today. But the thing about this drink is that it requires a specific ingredient to make. Here’s a hint, you can find it in the name!
The Okinawa Brown Sugar Latte is made with a specific ingredient, a kind of sugar cane called kokuto that’s native to Okinawa, Japan. So it will definitely fill your craving for a unique flavor from Japan! You can get the Okinawa Brown Sugar Latte starting at 175 PHP for a Tall and have it either hot, iced, or blended!
