Esports officially makes it mark in the SEA Games for the first time

Esports has really come a long way as it will soon make its debut as a medal sport for the first time in the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games 2019. Find out more here:

This year’s SEA Games is truly a monumental event for the Philippines because it will be held here after many years. But more than that, esports will be officially recognized, making this a historic moment for gamers and the sport itself.

And in case you didn’t know yet, Sibol is the official team name of our esports team which means “growth” Tagalog. It’s definitely a fitting name considering we’re now making progress in accepting our athletes and the development esports in our country!

While we’re at it, the games slated up for SEAG will be Dota 2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Arena of Valor, StarCraft II, Hearthstone, and Tekken 7.

Let us all be as one and make sure to support them in the SEA Games which will be held at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan. It will run from December 5 to 10, 2019! Let’s all hope for Sibol glorious journey in taking home all the medals!
