Christmas Break MV by Gracenote U Do U Header

The ‘Christmas Break’ MV by Gracenote is a Yuletide nightmare

December 4, 2019 Shaina Dulay

With the start of the last month of the year, the holidays are slowly creeping up on us. Christmas Day is coming, people!

With the coming of the festive Yuletide season, various places or establishments are already playing Christmas classics. Of course, there is the iconic ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ by Mariah Carey and the song Filipinos love, Jose Mari Chan‘s ‘Christmas in our Hearts’. However, lurking out there in the dark side of the festive music are also songs about struggles, pain, and even heartbreak. One of them is ‘Christmas Break’ by Gracenote.

Recently they have released a music video for the said song, and it is morbidly dark and even revengeful. Watch it with us by playing the YouTube video below. We must warn you though, it may give you the heebie-jeebies!

Galit na galit, gustong manakit ate ghorl Eunice from Gracenote?!  However, it is understandable why the character in the video thinks and feels that way–the guy just broke her heart… and on freaking Christmas Day! Way to ruin the cheerful season, dude.

The music video was directed by Soupstar Entertainment’s Darwin Hernandez and shows the band members along with the guy who ruined Christmas, Better Days frontman Daniel Paringit.

Almost Christmas EP

‘Christmas Break’ is a part of the four-piece alternative rock band Gracenote’s EP titled ‘Almost Christmas‘. Containing 5 songs depicting the ugly side of the festive season, they surely know how to make their music interesting. If we were to pick a favorite though, it would probably be ‘Ha Ha Happy New Year’.
