A 17-year-old Fortnite player gets sentenced to a life ban from the game for life after he was caught using aimbot cheat.
Jarvis Kaye, a professional Fortnite player from FaZe Clan, took it to Youtube to share that he has been banned from playing Fortnite ‘for life.’
The reason for this is he uploaded a video showing his streamers how he was using an aimbot cheat to improve shooting accuracy. Only the thought of sharing the post for entertainment turned into a nightmare for Jarvis.
On Sunday, he posted another video showing how he felt sorry for this accident and apologized to Epic Games and his 2 million subscribers.
“All I was thinking about whilst I was making those videos was just how entertaining and interesting these videos would be for you guys to watch,” he said.
“It didn’t even cross my mind to think that I could be banned for life from Fortnite from those videos. I just want to be clear that this is the first time that I have ever done anything like this and of course I have never done this in a competitive game mode at all.”
Does he deserve this?
It’s clearly understandable why Epic Games had to do it since it poses a threat to the Fortnite community. And if they took this matter lightly, some may follow Jarvis’ footsteps. And it has been stated in their policy players risk having their account deleted if they are caught using aimbots.
“We have a zero tolerance policy for the usage of cheat software,” Epic Games told The Independent.
“When people use aimbots or other cheat technologies, they ruin games for people who are playing fairly.”
Using cheats in any game or platform is plain wrong. However, do you really think Jarvis deserves the life ban he was sentenced with? We also have to look at the angle of why he did it. Epic Games could have punished him in a different way rather than taking away his career. But then again, he should know this by now since he is a professional esports player.
I’m going to take accountability for my actions and I understand completely why this has happened, I just wish I had known how severe the consequences were at the time and I would have never thought about doing it. I love all of you who still support me, this is not the end.

We just hope Jarvis has learned his lesson and sort it out with Epic Games. And this should also serve as a lesson for those who are planning on using cheats in any game. this won’t be an end to his gaming career.
