Louis Vuitton acknowledges discrimination issue with flowers

It looks like Louis Vuitton acknowledges the issue of discrimination Regine Velasquez had at one of their stores by sending her some flowers.
We’ve told you this story in a recent article. About how Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez experienced discrimination at a Louis Vuitton store in New York City. But in a recent interview on Tonight With Boy Abunda on ABS-CBN, it appears that the story doesn’t end there. Because Louis Vuitton acknowledges the issue of discrimination by sending Regine Velasquez some flowers. And that’s so nice, right? But wow, we did not expect that the staff from Louis Vuitton actually blocked the entrance so that Regine couldn’t get inside!
ICONS on Tonight With Boy Abunda
It was on the TWBA that Regine recounted the experience and where she shared that Louis Vuitton had sent her flowers. As to what kind or how big the bouquet was, she didn’t disclose. Along with her in the interview was Sharon Cuneta. So ICYDK, they were on the show talking about their concert together called ‘ICONIC’. It’s on October 18 and 19 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Along with this interview came a new bit of gossip, Sharon Cuneta also experienced discrimination from a luxury brand! This time it was Cartier in Hong Kong. So how she tells it was, she approached an attendant about something. But the attendant immediately cut her off saying that she was busy. Damn, people can be so shady, right?

The moral of the story?
Since it’s sweldo today, we just found it super appropriate that Sharon Cuneta had this to say in the interview:
“No one can fault you for buying something expensive because you worked for it.”
—Sharon Cuneta, 2019.
We love it ate Shawie! This is now our default response whenever someone scolds us for blowing all our salary on the same day we receive it. Of course, we’re only kidding (slightly)! Save your money, kids!
So what’s the real take-away from this? You shouldn’t discriminate against people based on looks or how they dress. And this is from personal experience, even here in the Philippines it happens! What’s worse is that it happens even in non-luxury stores! So if you ever find yourself working in retail, try not to discriminate people. It’s not nice.
Do you think it was nice of Louis Vuitton to send Regine Velasquez those flowers? Were they doing it as an act of acknowledging the issue or trying to save face? We’d love to hear what you think!
