Kylie Verzosa to cut opening ribbon at ‘#IAMEnough’ exhibit!
October 8, 2019 Franchesca Rivera
It’s World Mental Health Awareness Day on October 10! And what better way to spend the day than at the ‘#IAMEnough’ mental health awareness exhibit?
It’s 2019 and I believe there’s still a lack of awareness on how important mental health is. People take care of their mental health in their own ways. Whether that means taking a quick trip somewhere over the weekend. Or staying in and indulging in the little things. But there’s still a lot of stigma regarding the acceptance of the existence of mental health issues. And so a lot of the time, having to deal with mental health issues means feeling alone. So why don’t you come on down to the Gateway Mall Activity Area at 10 AM? Because the ‘#IAMEnough’ mental health awareness exhibit will be taking place there this October 10. Along with Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Mental health awareness means bringing down the walls of stigma by sharing our experiences, stories, and truths. Join us on October 10, 10 AM as we kick-start the exhibit at the Gateway Mall activity area with Mental Health Awareness advocate, Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa and PMHAI Executive Director – Dr. Carolina Uno-Rayco in educating others on what mental illness REALLY is, and helping those with illnesses know they are not alone. #IAmEnough #CityofFirsts #AranetaCity

Mental Health Matters
ICDYK, there’s a reason why Kylie Verzosa is the celebrity guest for the #IAMEnough exhibition. That’s because she is an active advocate for mental health awareness. She believes in the cause so much that she even started her own support group for it. And she aptly named it, Mental Health Matters. In fact, she just recently received an award as the Youth Champion for Sustainable Development Goals 3: Good Health and Well-Being.

It’s so nice to see people who have the capacity to use the platform that’s available to them to advocate for good causes, don’t you think? As expected from a beauty queen, she is beautiful. But wouldn’t you just say that hers is a beauty that shines so brightly from within? Keep doing what you’re doing Kylie! You’re helping make the world a better, more accepting, place.
Maybe you can find solace or learn something new at the ‘#IAMEnough’ mental health awareness exhibit this October 10. If you’re passing by Gateway why not stop by and see what they’ve got to offer. Every little bit helps in the fight for mental health awareness.
Will you be stopping by the ‘#IAMEnough’ exhibit? What’s your stand on mental health issues? We’d love to hear what you think! So share with us your thoughts in the comments down below! Or hit us up on our Facebook or Twitter @UDoUPh.
