I am just absolutely giddy at the prospect of seeing Stranger Things Season 4 this soon! Because it’s only been three months since Season 3 was released. And in TV time, that’s practically no time at all! It’s so soon, but my heart is glad! So are you ready to enter “The Upside Down?” You’ll just have to see the teaser to see what we mean. You don’t even have to search for it, because you can watch it right here:
Now don’t get too excited, because there’s always the possibility that they’ll stick to their usual time of release. Since Seasons 1 and 2 were separated by 15 months. And 20 months for seasons 2 and 3. So if we’re sticking to that, we can probably get to see Stranger Things Season 4 by 2020 or even early 2021. But still, one can hope!
So now that we’re all caught up on the trailer, what do you think? Did you notice that the whole theme of the teaser was in tune to the ticking of a clock? And that there was a clock embedded in the tree to the right? And most importantly when the words, “We’re not in Hawkins anymore” were revealed it was to the chiming of what must be a grandfather clock. This is just what we think, but Season 4 will most likely have: TIME TRAVEL! Boom! Mind-blown! Hey, it’s not a stretch since weirder things have happened in the world of Stranger Things, right?
But also about the text, if we’re going to take it in a literal sense. It’s obvious that Stranger Things Season 4 will follow the Byers and Eleven as they’ve moved out of Hawkins. I wonder where they’ll find themselves now. And how the original cast will still play a role in the new season if they’re all separated. We’ll just have to wait until they release an official cast list. Because as of now they haven’t officially released one yet.
In the end-credits scene of Season 3, we see some sort of secret underground Russian base. And we see two soldiers coming to get someone out of one of the cells. Then when one soldier goes to reach for one of the doors, the other one says “No. Not the American.” And so that’s one of the bigger questions we just can’t wait to be answered in Season 4. Who could it be? Could Hopper have somehow survived the explosion and the Russians found him? Or could it be Brenner? The scientist that created Eleven? Just to refresh your memory of that scene, you can watch it here:
Another important thing to note, along with the Stranger Things Season 4 teaser came with the announcement that the series’ creators; The Duffer Brothers. Have signed with Netflix a”multi-year film and series overall deal.” So it’s either we may be seeing more seasons for Stranger Things. Or that they’re in for the long haul and crafting movies and other series that can possibly compete with the popularity of Stranger Things. Whatever it is, it’s looking great for us!
