Netflix has been practicing the gift of giving for a while now as its library of Korean series continues to grow. We’ve seen many iconic K-dramas on Netflix like ‘The Heirs’, ‘What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim’, and even the classic ‘Boys Over Flowers’. And this 2019, they’re going all in!
#1 Love Alarm

Basically, ‘Love Alarm’ is about a dating app which rings you whenever a person who loves you is within a ten-meter radius. Woah. Talk about your fictional Tinder. The story centers on Kim Jojo (Kim So-hyun), Hye-young (Jung Ga Ram), and Sun-oh (Song Kang). While Hye-young and Sun-oh are best friends, they are also both in love with Jojo. Do we smell a love triangle brewing?

‘Chief of Staff’ is a political K-drama focusing on the world of sidekicks of powerful politicians who are normally outside the spotlight. The shows bring new light to the aides, seeing them as the playmakers in politics, and sometimes outwitting lawmakers and the law itself. You better catch this one because it consists of our favorite stars like Lee Jung-jae and Shin Min-ah.
#3 Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung

‘Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung’ is a love story about a free-spirited woman, Goo Hae-ryung (Shin Se-kyung), who pursues her dream as a court historian and Prince Lee Rim (Cha Eun-woo), who plays the role of the lonely royalty and an underground romance novelist.

‘Vagabond’ is a K-drama to watch out for because it includes an all-star cast with Bae Suzy, Lee Seung-gi, and Shin Sung-rok. It’s an action-packed thriller drama which will surely make you hold on to your seat. It revolves on a stuntman who got involved in a national corruption scandal after a tragic airplane crash.

What will you do when you suddenly wake up and find yourself in another body? Well, it’s the same for Cha Min (Ahn Hyo-seop) and Go Se-yeon (Park Bo-young) when they discovered they’re in new bodies that they don’t recognize in ‘Abyss’.
All of these K-dramas are definitely to look out for as they’re bringing in another wave of great Korean content.
