Make your childhood magical girl dreams come true as Netflix works on a ‘Winx Club’ live-action series!

Believe it or not, but our childhood series ‘Winx Club’ is getting its live-action series. Just recently, Netflix announced the acquisition of ‘Fate: The Winx Club Saga’the live-action version of the Italian magical girl series. Apparently, it was already announced beforehand. Way back in March 2018. But just recently, the production started their principal photography at Ireland. And of course, found their lead actress to play the fiery fairy Bloom.

Abigail Cowen

According to reports, ‘Fate: The Winx Saga’ will be a six-episode young adult series. It will follow the original storyline of the animated series’ season one. That means with Bloom discovering her powers and how her life goes as she attends Alfea, together with 4 other fairy girls. Basically, a coming-of-age story about magic, self-discovery, romance, and action as the girls fight enemies of the dark arts. And Abigail Cowen playing the lead role of Bloom. You might have known Cowen from here role of Dorcas in the ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina‘.

The original Italian animated series of ‘Winx Club’ has gone drastic changes over the years. Especially since it has been running for almost 15 years, since 2004. And has become a hit around the world, among little girls. And with Brian Young (The Vampire Diaries, Kyle XY) serving as showrunner, this might become another favorite among Netflix subscribers.

So far, there are no details yet on when will be the release of ‘Fate: The Winx Club’ Saga. Nor the remaining cast. But it’s definitely on the works now.
