GAMING: Who are the official esports representatives in the 2019 SEA Games?

September 16, 2019 Divine Sanchez

27 PLAYERS. 6 GAMES. 1 NATION. Introducing Sibol’s official lineup in the 2019 SEA Games esports category!

With the announcement of esports as an official medal sport in the upcoming Southeast Asian (SEA) Games comes the formation of our official esports team, Sibol!

Last August, Sibol first started taking form as the Philippine Southeast Asian Games Esports Union (PSEU) sent direct invites to Dota 2 player, Carlos “Kuku” Palad and Dota 2 team, TNC. The team, however, didn’t accept since they were taking a break after their The Internationals 2019 run. (It’s a shame we won’t be seeing their crazy TI9 plays in the upcoming SEA Games. Sad.)

Not to worry though, we might still see our favorite players in their respective games because PSEU also sent out invites to Caviar “Enderr” Acampado (StarCraft II), Erwin “Yakou” Magno (MLBB), and other big names in Philippine esports. Yaaas!

An open qualifier event was also held for anyone who wants to test their luck in joining this pioneering team. Players who passed will proceed to the training pool which will be the last hurdle for those aspiring Sibol members.

In the just-ended National Pool Combine, assigned managers and coaches will select 7 players each to represent Dota 2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Arena of Valor (AOV), while 2 players will play for Hearthstones, and Tekken 7!

And we got good news today because Sibol’s official lineup was just announced! So without further ado, here it is:
