Bring out a bright pen and mark your calendars! Because ‘The End of the F***ing World’ Season 2 will air on November 2019!
The hit series ‘The End of the F***ng World’ had everyone frustrated on the final episode of season 1. And finally, there is a date on the release of the second season that we all have been waiting for! Here’s what we know on the coming season!
Alyssa (and other beloved characters) will be back
Jessica Barden, the woman we all adore as Alyssa, has been confirmed for the second season. We are guessing that other supporting characters will also be back, such as the parents of James and Alyssa. Hopefully, DC Teri Donoghue & DC Eunice Noon would return too!
We are still doubtful though if James’s character, played by Alex Lawther, will be seen again. After the cliffhanger ending of the first season, we are not sure if James is still alive or dead. The show wouldn’t be the same without him though, so let’s hope for the best.
A new character
Naomi Ackie, who acted in British drama film Lady Macbeth, joins the cast for the second season of the show as Bonnie who is an outsider with a troubled past. Oh, and did we mention that she’s said to have a mysterious connection to Alyssa? Hmmm, interesting.
There are no trailers yet
The second season of the show is set two years after the first one and we are very excited to catch a glimpse of clues as to what happens! However, there are no trailers or even teasers yet. Last year too, the trailer was released just a week before it premiered on Channel 4. It is possible that the same schedule pattern would be followed. Hold your excitement though…
Not a Netflix show
Even if November is just 2 months away from now, the series that we all adore will first be aired on Channel 4 (yes, it is not a Netflix Originals’ show). Ian Katz, the chief of content for the British channel, complains that he doesn’t want people to think that the series is under Netflix. He wants to take back the recognition for ‘The End of the F***ing World’ as a Channel 4 show. So, he wants the second season to be released in Netflix a year after it airs on Channel 4.
Luckily, that is the case in the United Kingdom. Because U Do U PH and the majority of its readers are here in the Philippines, the only terrible news is that we are still not sure how long we would wait for the Netflix release.
Yes, the circumstances are understandable, but we’re getting impatient! *sobs*
