Because they’ve just committed to a script to series deal to turn ‘The Five People You Meet in Heaven’ into a TV series! And naturally, best-selling author Mitch Albom is set to write the script and it will be produced by Fox Entertainment along with Warner Bros. TV. Let’s recap!

Giphy

Since the book has been out for quite some time, many of you may have forgotten what ‘The Five People You Meet in Heaven’ is all about. So let’s recap a little bit on the story. But a little fair warning to those who intend to read the book, make sure to know what you’re getting into. It’s a fairly emotional book. So our story begins with the death of 83-year-old Eddie. He dies on the day of his birthday, in a freak accident on one of the amusement rides at the Ruby Pier. And then follows his journey as he meets with the five people who have had a significant impact on his life. Like his wife who had died early on in their lives, his former army captain that saved his life, and a little girl who died because of him.

‘The Five People You Meet in Heaven’ is definitely a worthwhile read. There’s a reason it was on the New York Times Best Seller List for 95 weeks! It reflects upon the meaning of life and death. And those whose lives we’ve touched and those who have touched ours. If you haven’t read it yet, we definitely recommend you do before the TV series release.
