Controversies don’t get in the way of their success. The Ex Battalion is to star in ‘Sons of Nanay Sabel’, and our expectations couldn’t be higher!
Who says singers can’t venture into acting? First, Ben&Ben announced an upcoming film, and now Ex Battalion is to play the role Ai Ai Delas Alas’ sons in ‘Sons of Nanay Sabel’! Take a look at the trailer and let us know what you think!
Two of the group’s members have recently been linked to issues regarding their relationships, but it seems there’s no stopping the south boys from going after their success! Thanks to their very hands-on manager, Ai Ai Delas Alas, they are getting their shot at acting. They also sang the official soundtrack for ‘Victor Magtanggol’. The latter expressed how excited she is for the upcoming film through a post on Instagram.
Ai Ai, our best ‘Ina’
Ai Ai has been a symbol of a good mother for all of us, from her ‘Tanging Ina’ series, to her role in several comedy-drama films like ‘Sisterakas’ where she played the role of a mother, too. I guess we can say that Ai Ai really has both the ability to make us laugh AND cry at the same time. The queen of Philippine comedy plays roles that can really tug our heartstrings, because who doesn’t go soft when it comes to our mothers? She really has proven to us how great of an actress she is. With this being said, we already know that the movie is something to watch out, no questions asked.
The ExB boys look tough and all with their music and the image they are trying to portray, so we’re excited to see how well they’ll play the roles given to them. Just from the trailer, we already know there’s going to be a bit of drama. Our expectations are very high but it’s no doubt these guys can meet them. At first glance, they look like guys with quirky personalities which makes them perfect to play Nanay Sabel’s sons.
We are so stoked for this film, it will be out in the cinemas on May 1! Will you be watching ‘Sons of Nanay Sabel’, too? We’ll see you there! Share us your thoughts the comments down below. Or hit us up on our Facebook or Twitter @UDoUPh.
