GAMES: ESL Birmingham participating teams locked on

ESL One is back for more with ESL One Birmingham 2019. So far, they’ve locked the invited participating teams and for sure, it’s a Dota 2 action you won’t want to miss!
After numerous successful ESL One tournaments, their bringing it back to Birmingham once again. And this time, they’re bringing the heat back for the teams hungry for some DPC points. But with 300,000 USD at hand and a chance to get crowned as ESL champions, who could resist, right?
ESL One Birmingham is back
On May 23, ESL One kickstarts another fast-selling tournament in the Dota 2 competitive scene, ESL One Birmingham. With twelve of the best Dota 2 teams in the world, they’ll be heading to the United Kingdom to show who’s the next ESL champion. They will be battling it out to win the lion’s share of the 300,000 USD prize money and 1500 precious DPC points.
As of now, there are already 8 invited teams from different regions across the world. This includes the previous TI8 champions, OG and Team Liquid, and Major champions Team Secret. Joining them are other strong and dominant teams this season, Virtus.pro, PSG.LGD, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Evil Geniuses and Vici Gaming. Aside from them, there will be 4 more teams from regional closed qualifiers to be added to the participating teams.
Right now, the closed qualifiers and invitational tournaments for ESL One Birmingham is happening. And from the several participating teams, only 4 lucky teams from each region will be able to participate at the battle at Arena Birmingham this coming May. Then all 12 teams will be playing against each other for the next days.
Aside from winning the largest share of the prize money and some hefty points, one player will be crowned MVP. Like usual ESL tournaments, the hailed MVP all throughout the tournament will win a brand new sports car from Mercedes-Benz.
