From ashes and dust, our heroes will rise. The cast of the Avengers: Endgame talks about their defeat in Infinity War and how it changed them all!
Just a few more weeks till ‘Avengers: Endgame’ premieres but Marvel isn’t backing down with their brand new featurette with the cast. In the recent featurette for Marvel Studios’ ‘Avengers: Endgame’, prominent members of the cast laments on how they lost and how it brings much more depth to the upcoming film.
One last fight
“Imagine if, for the first time, our heroes all lost.”. Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Ironman) opens up with that statement, setting up an intense and pressuring mood. He shares how it means for them as heroes, that they lost for the first time. With Thanos succeeding in wiping out half of the universe and all.
There are no new clips or footages presented. But the featurette highlights some of the deaths of our beloved characters like Spiderman. Aside from Ironman himself, Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) talked about how their characters came to cope with their loss. Chris Evans reaffirms how hard it was for their characters, especially with the loss. While Scarlet Johansson dishes out that Natasha was a bit hardened from what she’d gone through in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.
But despite being leveled physically, morally and emotionally, Evans confirms that there’s still hope. Marvel Studios is known for building back a character up, even at dire times. And ‘Avengers: Endgame’ won’t be an exception. So we might be seeing more surprises and developments from the heroes left.
The featurette ended with Tony Stark saying, “I know I said no more surprises, but I was really hoping to pull off one last one.”. And yes, we are all hoping for one last surprise not only from him but also from all characters.
‘Avengers: Endgame’ opens in all theaters on April 26 and I know, you wouldn’t want to miss it.
