Blackpink’s arrival in the Philippines turned out to be chaotic as Blinks went wild in the receiving area.
South Korean Kpop girl group, Blackpink, has just recently arrived in the Philippines for their concert tour. Blackpink’s In Your Area concert tour is one of the most awaited concerts in the country this 2019. The Philippine leg of the In Your Area concert tour was last Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay. And prior to the show, fans awaited Blackpink’s arrival at NAIA to welcome them.
However, their welcome party spun out of control as the idols arrived. As soon as the ladies arrived, fans tried to get close to the members. The supposedly peaceful yet warm welcome became chaotic and wild. Because of the chaos, the ladies Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé, had to use NAIA’s VIP exit to avoid the stampede.
are you people animals? this is so unsafe. it’s a literal mob… you’re putting blackpink’s safety at risk, as well as making life difficult for the people who work at the airport. this is not how anybody should act pic.twitter.com/7MaBsaSLI0
Aside from that, fans were seen climbing on the top of police vans and other cars around the area. With the stampede, airport personnel and security had a hard time dealing with it. Also, the stampede halted the traffic at the airport and disturbed other travelers in the airport. People caught the happenings on cam and it was trending in just one night.
Furthermore, fans online showed disappointment for the lack of discipline and the unruly behavior PH Blinks showed. Besides, it was indeed disappointing because the welcoming party at the airport usually happens in other countries to greet the girls. However, it wasn’t this chaotic and rowdy as Filipino fans showed.

Despite that, Blackpink still had a successful and remarkable performance last Saturday.
