After taking a break for the Chongqing Major, TNC Predator’s offlaner Kuku is back in the team.
Previously, Carlo “Kuku” Palad took a break from competitive Dota under certain circumstances. This was in the middle of the preparation for the Chongqing Major. The unexpected absence of Kuku for the said Major was due to a racism issue that blew up in the whole Dota 2 community worldwide. But now, TNC Predator has proudly announced Kuku’s return to their active roster, once and for all.
We are pleased to announce the return of @kukudota to our active roster! Big thanks to ryOyr for his valuable help during his stay with us.

Of course, fans were disappointed with Kuku missing in action for Chongqing Major. However, it was his decision after all to take a break. Despite that, fans still continued to support him from the sidelines, watching his streams. But still, undeniably, it wasn’t the same without Kuku in the team. Their performances from Kuala Lumpur Major guided them to 5th place. While in the Chongqing Major, with Kuku missing, the team had to exit early in the Playoffs, placing 12th.
Kuku’s break lasted for almost 2 full months. Just a few days after the conclusion of the controversial Chongqing Major, TNC Predator announced that stand-in Ryo “ryOyr” Hasegawa will be leaving the squad. Kuku will then be returning to his position in the team. Kuku’s return is just in time for the DreamLeague Season 11 Closed Qualifiers for SEA. Aside from that, in time for ESL Mumbai 2019 Closed Qualifiers.
The SEA Closed Qualifiers for DreamLeague Season 11 Stockholm Major will kick off on February 1, 2019. TNC Predator will face 7 more teams from SEA to secure 2 spots for the main tournament. In fact, they’ll have to face SEA hard-hitting teams like Mineski and Fnatic.
