GAMES: DreamLeague Season 11 Regional Closed Qualifiers Invited Teams Released

With another upcoming Major upon us, DreamLeague Season 11 The Stockholm Major released invited teams for the regional closed qualifiers.

 

Once again, DreamHack is at it to give us the best DreamLeague tournament. And just a month away, they would be serving the Dota 2 community the DreamLeague Season 11 The Stockholm Major. It would be happening on March 13 – 24, 2019 in Stockholm, Sweden.

The Stockholm Major will feature 16 teams from all over the world. They will fight for a share of the $1,000,000 USD and 15,000 DPC points. Teams from different regions will have to take on each other on the Regional Closed Qualifiers. Winning teams from each regional closed qualifiers will get to secure their slot for the Stockholm Major. The closed qualifiers will run from February 1 to February 6, 2019, simultaneously for each region.

 

There are two types of qualifiers for this Major; Open Qualifiers and the Closed Qualifiers in each region. The Closed Qualifiers is the main qualifier rounds in each region. Invited teams get to secure a slot for their regional qualifiers. In each region, there are two Open Qualifiers for teams, non-invited teams are given the chance to prove themselves and get a slot to the regional closed qualifiers. Sounds complicated but this is DreamHack’s way of giving a chance for budding teams in each region.

 

So far, DreamHack has revealed the invited teams for each Regional Closed Qualifiers. 4 teams from North America, South America, CIS, and Southeast Asia. On the other hand, there will be five teams from Europe and China.

 

 

Invited Teams for DreamLeague Season 11 Closed Qualifiers

 

To begin with, for North America, we have J.Storm, Team Team, Forward Gaming, and Evil Geniuses. South America will have Chaos E.C., Infamous, Thunder Predator, and Playmaker Esports. For CIS Region, The Pango, Pavaga Gaming, Virtus.Pro ,and Gambit Esports. And for SEA, we have TNC Predator, Fnatic, Minesk,i and Boom ID.

While on the other hand, for Europe, we have OG, Team Secret, Team Liquid, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Alliance. Lastly, for China, Team Aster, EHOME, Vici Gaming, Keen Gaming, and PSG.LGD.

 

The open qualifiers are yet to conclude for the other regions. So there is no final list yet on who the invited teams will be competing against with from the open qualifiers.
