Rain or shine most music festival will continue their program regardless. It is important to be prepared for anything when attending one. So here are the music festival must-brings!
I don’t usually attend music festivals but the last one I attended (Maskipaps: The Crossover), it rained hard and I was not prepared for it! So it gave me an idea to make a checklist of things to bring just to make sure I’m a girl scout in these events.
Music festivals are held in open fields so it is only reasonable to bring an umbrella to avoid getting sunburnt or wet by the rain. I know it’s dyahe to be carrying around an umbrella in the event but you can get one that is compact so it won’t be such a hassle.
2. Small snacks and water
You’re going to be there for a while, probably for the whole day. Keep yourself hydrated and energized by bringing small snacks that you can munch on and a bottle of water (1 gallon preferably) to drink. You don’t want to faint in the midst of a field full of people.
- Granola Bars
- Fresh fruit
3. Waterproof anything!
Bring a waterproof bag for your things, waterproof phone case, waterproof cover for your shoes, etc. because without these things, once it rains, you are effed. Bid your nice clean shoes buhbye (I’m passionate about this), cry over your damaged phone, and all those mishaps. So yeah, waterproof your existence if you could!
4. Power bank
Can you live without your phone on a normal day? No, right? What more at a music festival? You won’t be able to snap a photo of your border-line naked outfit and record performances by bands and artists to be posted on your IG stories. A tragedy, I know. Keep your phone fueled, bring a power bank!
5. Baby wipes
Trust me you need baby wipes. Period.
The items that are listed are there because of my experience. Don’t make the same mistakes I did. Come prepared or you might come home wearing these.
Or worse, you might need to hold it in for hours.
