The Golden Globe Awards is an honor that is bestowed to a winner by members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) for films and television. The 76th Golden Globe was full of outstanding nominees and we finally have the winners right here!

 

Golden Globe Awards 2019 was held earlier (January 7) at The Beverly Hilton, California. With such names making it to the list of winners, of course, people are reacting! So without further ado, let’s find out who won and what the netizens have to say.

Best Motion Picture (Drama)

Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama) – Rami Malek

Really, no shocker there, right? The biopic, despite the many negative criticisms that it accumulated, was a hit movie. Following the journey of the legendary band Queen, Rami Malek portrayed Freddie Mercury very well.

Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama) – Glenn Close for The Wife

Lady Gaga was nominated as well for Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama) for her movie ‘A Star Is Born’. But Glenn Close bagged the prestigious award for the movie, ‘The Wife’.

Best Motion Picture (Musical/Comedy)

Best Screenplay (Motion Picture) – Peter Farrelly, Nick Vallelonga, Brian Currie

Best Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture – Mahershala Ali

Despite the controversies and negative criticisms, ‘Green Book’ took home the Best Motion Picture for Musical/Comedy! Not only that, but they also bagged two other awards. The Best Screenplay (Motion Picture) and Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Mahershala Ali.
