August 13, 2018 UDOU TEAM
After a lit first elimination round where 7 different crews from different parts of the country competed and advanced to the grand finals, Rockwell X AfterParty is at it again for All The Way Up Elimination Round 2! They’re bringing heat to the dance floor as they gathered 21 different crews to battle it out and clash head-to-head for a spot in the Grand Finals to be held at Meralco Theater this coming October 26.
The newest, hottest, and most competitive dance contest by AfterParty and RockWell “All The Way Up Dance Competition 2018” kicked-off its second elimination round last Friday at URBN QC.
The event started hyped-up as the host and AfterParty’s very own Victor Pring kicked-off the event by hyping up all of the participants and audiences alike by introducing three top-notch judges: Erin Ocampo, Laurence Chua aka Rockboi and RockWell’s Jhuven Aguilan.
After the introductions, the floor is set and the air is hot as it is already show time. 21 crews, only 6 will remain into the competition. To they have what it takes to win and bag the gold?
Like the last time, performances from each crew are both electrifying and exhilarating as all of the groups gave their best as they move, sweat, jump and danced as one.
You can see it in their faces that these crews are giving all that they’ve got just to secure a spot at the grand finals.
The show was pure back-to-back action as you hold your breath for every crew who is performing on stage.
During the break, it’s time for our judges to show what they’ve got and why are they judges of the hottest dance competition in the metro right now.
First off, RockWell’s own Jhuven Aguilan performed with a sizzling hot performance infront of everyone. Every woman in the building seems to be affected by Jhuven’s hot moves as they shout while he dance and set the stage on fire.
Second was a cute and energetic performance from ABS-CBN’s gorgeous Erin Ocampo as she danced the viral song BOOM BOOM by MOMOLAND joined by two of Rockwell members.
To finish it off, former leader and head choreographer of the two time world champion dance crew Philippine All Stars, Laurence Chua aka Rockboi performed his song with an electrifying energy as he also dances and groove to the rhythm of his song. It was truly a sight to see.
Moving Up To The Grand Finals
After a great show by the crews and judges alike, it was time to announce the winner. You could hear the room go silent as everyone is nervous, hoping and praying that their routine wowed the judges and the audiences at the same time.
The crowd roared with cheers as Victor announces the winners one-by-one who’ll be moving up to the grand finals. Even if some didn’t won, you could see it in their faces that they were still glad that they got to join the contest and became a part of something great.
