Before your favorite millennial bands (like, erm 1D) came to the spotlight, there was Boyzone. If you’re a 90s baby, you probably know the lyrics of their hit songs, even without knowing it. But if not, you’ve most likely heard their tracks before as they’re still played on the radio once in a while.
If this song doesn’t snap a memory in your mind, then I don’t know what will:
The Irish group—composed of Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham, and Shane Lynch–is coming back to Manila this August 26 at the Mall of Asia Arena, but sadly for their Boyzone Farewell Tour. This year, the band is also celebrating their 25th anniversary as a group.
Fans can expect the band to play their hit songs at the concert, including their songs from the upcoming album Thank You and Goodnight that’s set to release in November this year. Even Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran helped in writing some of their songs. Check out their first song titled I Can Dream released from the album:
Their last concert back in 2015 was such a night to remember, with fans reminiscing the yesteryears as if it had been a short time.
Boyzone was formed in 1993, initially disbanded in 1999. The members had successful careers as individuals during their hiatus until they decided to be active again in 2007. Co-member Stephen Gately died in 2009, but they continued the band until this year, releasing three more albums.
Guess the Boyzone Farewell Tour must be the end—but their songs will forever be in the hearts of all the 90s babies out there.
